The production of all Rungkaat textiles occurs exclusively in Banaras, with over 2000 highly-specialized artisans and their workshops entrusted with the manufacturing process.

Behind The Name

Rungkaat draws its inspiration from a traditional Banarasi weaving technique known as Rungkaat, characterized by the continuous interweaving of Multiple colored yarns without interruption. Rungkaat, meaning "Multiple Shades of Color," perfectly encapsulates our brand's essence.This weaving method embodies our core principles, symbolized by the three ideals we hold dear:

Our logo features an intricately detailed motif incorporating three paisleys, an homage to the "dancing paisley" found in heritage Banarasi textiles.
